The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was
held on October 29, 2015. Chair
Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present:
Bernie Scollan, Russ Thomas, Bill
Nash, Dick Demerly, Frank Gregory and Donna Ash.
Absent Rod Harmon
Moved by Russ Thomas to approve the meeting agenda.
Seconded by Frank Gregory. Motion carried.
Moved by Dick Demerly to accept the minutes of the
September 24, 2015 meeting.
Seconded by Donna Ash. Motion
carried.

Moved by Russ Thomas to approve the Special Land Use
Request Application #PSUP15-11, for a dog kennel over 10 dogs, by Carol
Bernard Bergmann of 4881 W. Tyrell Rd., Owosso, MI 48867.
The parcel number is # 78-010-32-300-005, Section 32, Bennington
Township. Seconded by Bill Nash.
Motion carried.
Donna Ash updated the Board on the Rezoning Application
by Brian Bonnor. Donna attended
one meeting of the Economic and Physical Development Committee of the
Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners, one meeting of the Full Committee
of the Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners and two meetings of the
Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners to voice Bennington Township’s
concern over the Rezoning Application of Brian Bonnor.
The Rezoning Request was approved by the Shiawassee County Board of
Commissioners.
Next meeting is November 19, 2015.
