May 6, 2013
The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by
Supervisor Lee Ash on May 6, 2013, 7:00pm at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy Garber, Lee Ash, Nancy
Zdunic, Donna Ash.
Forsythe moved to approve the agenda with additions.
Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to approve the minutes for the April 1,
2013 regular board meeting as printed.
Second by Forsythe.
All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the Treasurers report as
presented. Second by L. Ash.
All board members in favor.
Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the
amount of $23,792.41. Second by Garber. All board members in favor.
Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Justin Horvath, Shiawassee Economic Development
Partnership gave an update.
Jeff Bartz, Shiawassee County Commissioner gave an
update.
Ryan Painter, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney
introduced himself and gave an update.
Kathy Root gave a report on the cemeteries.
Board Reports:
Library- E. Humphrey gave an update.
Minutes are on file.
Plan Comm- D. Ash reported that the Commission
discussed the City of Perry Master Plan draft.
Roads – L. Ash gave an update.
Web Page- J. Forsythe gave an update.
Unfinished Business: None
New Business:
M.A.G.N.E.T. Contribution Request – No action taken.
L. A. Bennett Construction- Zdunic moved to approve
the price quote from L.A. Bennett Constructions to make repairs to the
back door on the Township Hall and make repairs to the pole barn.
Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor.
Motion carried.
Cemetery- N. Zdunic will be placing a planter around
the sign in Howard Cemetery.
Basketball Court- There was discussion regarding the
placing of basketball court at the Township Hall.
More information will be obtained for the next meeting.
Betty Church-
L. Ash moved to deny the request by Betty Church to place two
bushes in Oakwood Cemetery beside a gravestone. Second by Garber.
All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to adjourn. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
