The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on March 7, 2011, 7:00pm at the Bennington Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy Garber, Lee Ash, Donna Ash.
Forsythe moved to approve the agenda with additions. Second by Garber. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the February 7, 2011 regular meeting as printed. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the minutes for the February 22, 2011 special meeting as printed. Second by Garber. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer's report as presented. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the bills as presented in the amount of $23,354.21. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
Shiawassee County Road
Commission - Lonny Latunski, Manager, Mike Constine, Commissioner, John
Michalec, Commissioner and Brent Friess, Foreman were all present.
Latunski went over the 2011 road improvement projects and the options for
each.

New Business:
M.A.G.N.E.T.- A letter was received from MAGNET requesting a contribution
for 2011. This will be reviewed during the budget planning.
Forsythe moved to have a budget workshop meeting on March 18, 2011 at 10:00am
at the Township Hall. Second by Garber, Motion carried,
Lawn Mower Bid- D&G
Equipment gave a bid for a new lawn mower at $6,999.00 with a trade in of
$3,700.00 for a difference of $3,299.00. Forsythe moved to purchase a new
lawn mower
from D&G Equipment at a cost of$6,999.00 and to take bids to sell the
current lawn mower with a minimum bid of $3,700.00. Second by Garber. All
present in favor. Motion carried.
Fireworks Permit-
Forsythe moved to approve the Fireworks Permit for Bill Nash to be held on
July 22, 2011 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm and on July 23, 2011 from 7:00pm to
12:00 midnight.
Second by L. Ash.
Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion
carried. Adjournment at 8:50pm.
