BENNINGTON TOWNSHIP
Regular Board Meeting

January 4, 2016

The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on January 4, 2016, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.

Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy Garber, Lee Ash, Donna Ash.

Absent: Nancy Zdunic 

Forsythe moved to approve the agenda with additions. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.

Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the December 7, 2015 regular board meeting as printed. Second by Garber. All present in favor. Motion carried.

Forsythe moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by L. Ash.   All board members present in favor. Motion carried.

Forsythe moved to approve payment of bills as presented in the amount of $27,328.43. Second by L. Ash. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.

Public Comment:

J. Bartz – Commented that the lights along M-52 were beneficial.

J. Bartz – Co. Comm. Update.

Board Reports:

Library – Humphrey- Minutes on file for the 12-2 15 meeting.

Plan Comm- D. Ash – Approved meeting dates for 2016 as the last Thursday of the month except for November and December and all meeting will be held at 7:00pm at the Township Hall.

Roads – L. Ash – Review the 2016 recommended road projects.

Web Page – Forsythe – Update.

Unfinished Business:

MSU Credit Union Approval – Forsythe moved to adopt a resolution for the approval of bank usage for Bennington Township: Township Investment and Depository Designation Resolution Township Investment and Depository Designation Resolution. Second by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion carried. (Complete wording of the resolution can be found at the Township web site or is available at the Township Hall).

New Business:

Bd. of Review Training – Forsythe moved to approve sending the three members of the Board of Review to training at a cost of $243.00. Second by L. Ash. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.

Poverty Exemption Resolution – D. Ash moved to adopt a resolution for poverty exemption for Bennington Township: Resolution to Adopt Poverty Exemption Income Guidelines and Asset Test Resolution to Adopt Poverty Exemption Income Guidelines and Asset Test. Second by Forsythe. All board members present in favor. Motion carried. (Complete wording of the resolution can be found at the Township web site or is available at the Township Hall.)

Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
