January 13, 2014
The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order on
January 13, 2014, 7:00pm by Supervisor Lee Ash at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy Garber, Lee Ash, Donna
Ash. Nancy Zdunic was not
present.
L. Ash moved to approve the agenda with the addition
of Resident Storm Cleanup. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the December
2, 2013 regular board meeting as printed. Second by Garber.
All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as
presented. Second by Forsythe. All board members present in favor.
Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the bills as presented in
the amount of $29,968.51. Second by Garber. All board members present in
favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment: None
Board Reports:
Library- Humphrey- Update.
Plan Comm- D. Ash- The County approved the amendment
to the Wind Energy Conversion Systems Ordinance.
Roads- L. Ash- There will be a meeting on February 5,
2014, 1:00pm to discuss the 2014 road projects.
Web Page- Forsythe- Update.
Unfinished Business: None
New Business:
Hall Maintenance Position- Jerry Zdunic is retiring
from the position of Hall Maintenance as of April 1, 2014. The board
will begin to decide on the best way to fill this position.
Board of Review Training- Forsythe moved to approve
the payment of $79 per person for two members and the assessor to attend
the Board of Review Training. Second by L. Ash. All board members
present in favor. Motion carried.
Cemetery Storm Cleanup- L. Ash moved to have Weinert’s
Tree Service remove limbs in Oakwood Cemetery at a cost of $400.00.
Second by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
The sexton will work at the cleanup of smaller debris.
Resident Storm Cleanup- There have been a few inquires
as to if the Township is going to provide any cleanup of limbs for
residents due to the storm. The Township will not be providing an
additional service to clean up limbs.
County Commission Jeff Bartz gave an update to the
board.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
