The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on February 6, 2012, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.

Present: Jim Forsythe, Lee Ash, Cindy Garber, Donna Ash.

Not Present: Nancy Zdunic.

Forsythe moved to accept the agenda as printed. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.

Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the January 2, 2012 regular board meeting as printed. Second by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.

L. Ash moved to accept the Treasurer's report as presented. Second by Forsythe. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.

Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $94,339.65. Second by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.

Library- E. Humphrey- Minutes on file.

Plan Comm- D. Ash- Land Use Update, postponed for additional review. Discussion of Accessory Building text amendment.

Roads- L. Ash- There will be a special meeting held on February 15, 2012 at 6:00pm to discuss road improvements for 2012.

New Business:

SSESA Contract- Forsythe moved to table the SSESA contract for the next regular meeting. Second by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.

Township Clean Up Day- The annual township clean up day is scheduled for May 5, 2012 from 8:00am to 12:00noon.

Opening & Closing- The family of Gene Roys requested that the Township should have policy regarding the payment of opening and closing fees for burial for Township employees. The board discussed this issue and took no action to set policy.

Poverty Exemption- Forsythe moved to adopt the Poverty Exemption Resolution with the 2012 guidelines as printed. Second by L. Ash. All board members present in favor. Motion carried. (Complete wording of resolution available at the Township Hall.)

Salary Increase- Garber moved to adopt a resolution to establish township officials salary to be determined by the township residents. Second by D. Ash. L. Ash-yes, Garber-yes, Forsythe-no, D. Ash-yes. Motion carried. (Complete wording of resolution available at the Township Hall.)

L. Ash moved to adjourn. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
