The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on December 3, 2012, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy Garber,
Lee Ash, Donna Ash. Nancy Zdunic not present.
L. Ash moved to approve the agenda with the addition of the Farmers Market
Membership. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the November 5, 2012 regular board
meeting at printed. Second by Garber. All board members present in favor.
Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer's report as presented. Second by
Forsythe. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $29,295.65. Second
by L. Ash. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Brent Jones, Shia. Economic Development- Spoke regarding the Township's
potential contribution.
Board Reports:
Library- E. Humphrey- Minutes on file.
Plan Comm- D. Ash- Approval of one land division.
Member appointment recommendation. The next meeting was changed from
December 27, 2012 to December 20, 2012. L. Ash moved to concur with the
Planning Commission and approve one land division for Gladys Freund on
parcel #78-010-26-400-001.
Second by Garber. All board members present in
favor. Forsythe moved to accept the Planning Commission's recommendation and
reappoint Donna Ash to the Planning Commission as the Board Representative
for a four year term ending November 20, 2016. Second by L. Ash. Motion
carried.
Roads- L. Ash- Presented the board with the 2013 recommended projects.
Web Page- Forsythe- Update.
Unfinished Business:
Shia. Economic Dev.- Forsythe moved to support the Shiawassee Economic
Development at a rate of $2000.00 per year for five years beginning in 2013.
Second by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
New
Business:
Bd of Review- Forsythe moved to reappoint Donald Koski, Richard Lucas, and
Gary Jacobs to the Board of Review for a two year term ending December 31,
2014. Second by L. Ash. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Farmers Market - L. Ash moved to continue to be a member of the Farmers
Market Association at a cost of $75.00 for an annual membership. Second by
Forsythe. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
