April 4, 2016
The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by
Supervisor Lee Ash on April 4, 2016, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy Garber, Lee Ash, Donna Ash.
Not Present: Nancy Zdunic
Forsythe moved to approve the agenda as printed.
Seconded by L. Ash. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the March 7,
2016 regular board meeting as printed. Seconded by L. Ash. All board
members present in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the March
21, 2016 special board meeting as printed. Seconded by Garber. All board
members in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to accept the Treasurer’s report as
presented. Seconded by Forsythe. All board members present in favor.
Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve payment of the bills as
presented in the amount of $19,870.67. Seconded by Forsythe. All board
members present in favor. Motion carried.

Plan Comm- D. Ash – Recommended for approval land
divisions for Numerick and Sayles. Reviewed a site plan amendment for
Crooked Tree Nursery.
Forsythe moved to concur with the Planning Commission
and approve an Application for Land Division # PLD14-0017 by Richard
Sayles of 6695 W Lansing Rd., Perry, MI
48872. Parent Parcel
# 78-010-25-100-001 located at 7053 S Morrice Rd. description 25T6N-R2E.
Seconded by L. Ash.
Motion carried. Forsythe moved to concur with the Planning Commission
and approve an Application for Land Division #PLD16-0004 by William
Numerick of 4665 S Morrice Rd, Owosso, MI 48867.

Roads – L. Ash – Contracts are signed. Reviewed some
rates for tree trimming.
Web Page – Forsythe – Update.

Ambulance Special Assessment – Waiting for Attorney
response.
Consumers Energy – Contract received from Consumers
Energy payment needs to be sent before work begins.
New Business:
Fireworks – Nash – Forsythe moved to approve the
Permit for Fireworks for Jon Nash, ACE Pyro, LLC for a display at Lake
Manitou on July 3, 2016, 9:30pm -11:30pm with a rain date of July 4,
2016. Seconded by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion
carried. L. Ash moved to approve the Permit for Fireworks for Jon Nash,
Michigan Pyrotechnic Arts Guild, for a display at 4975 W. Grand River
Rd. Owosso, on July 16, 2016 from 7:00pm – 12:00am. Seconded by Garber.
All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Front Door – Reviewed an estimate received form
Hi-Quality Glass, Inc. to replace the front doors on the hall with glass
doors at a cost of $3,658.18.
Woodchips for Playground – L. Ash moved to approve
spending up to $2,600 for additional woodchips for the playground.
Seconded by Forsythe. All board members present in favor. Motion
carried.
