January 25, 2024
The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was held on January 25, 2024. Chair Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present: Donna Ash, Russ Thomas, Larry Johnson, Bill Nash, Tom Runyan, Dick Demerly and Jim Norder
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the minutes for the December 28, 2023 meeting. Seconded Dick Demerly. Motion carried.

Angel Bell from Rowe Professional Services Company updated the Board on the current progress of updating Bennington Township’s Master Plan. Angel presented data and tables on land usage in Bennington Township as well as a great deal of other relevant information. Angel gave each member of the board a 15 page handout of this information. The Board discussed what would be necessary to update our Master Plan. No action was taken.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the 2024 Meeting schedule as discussed at the meeting. Seconded by Jim Norder. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to recommend to the Bennington Township Board the reappointment of Dick Demerly and Tom Runyan for another 3 year term on the Bennington Township Planning Commission. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Next meeting is February 29, 2024.
Moved by Dick Demerly to adjourn the meeting at 8:08. Seconded by Tom Jim Norder. Motion carried.
