December 5, 2016
The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order on December 5, 2016,m 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Lee Ash, Donna Ash, Cindy Garber, Nancy Zdunic, Matt Dutcher.
L. Ash moved to approve the agenda with the addition of Web Page. Seconded by Zdunic. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to approve the minutes for the November 7, 2016, regular board meeting as printed. Seconded by Garber. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Seconded by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $29,608.23. Seconded by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Mike Thornburg – Owosso Fire- Reported on a recent fire in the Township.
Board Reports:
Library – Garber – No meeting.
Plan Comm – D. Ash – Recommended approval of one land division and the appointment of board representative. L. Ash moved to concur with the Township Planning Commission and approve land division application PLD16-0045 for Spencer Baley, Owner Tom Bishop, parent parcel 010-35-300-002 and 010-35-300-003. Seconded by Dutcher. Motion carried. Zdunic moved to accept the Township Planning Commission recommendation to reappoint Donna Ash to the Planning Commission as the Board representative for a term of four years ending November 2020. Seconded by L. Ash. Motion carried.
Roads – L. Ash – Annual Meeting will be December 13.
Web Page – Zdunic – Discussion of what need to be done to continue the web page.
Unfinished Business:
2015 – 2016 Audit – Final audit report was presented to the board and the F-65 is ready to be sent.
New Business:
Bd of Review – Garber moved to reappoint Bill Koski, Craig Killian, and Gary Jacobs to the Board of Review for a two year term ending December 31, 2018. Second by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Twp Clean Up Day – Scheduled for May 6, 2017, 8:00am – 12:00noon.
County MTA meeting December 6, Bennington Twp hosts.
L. Ash moved to adjourn. Seconded by Zdunic. Motion carried.
