The Bennington Township Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on June 4, 2012, 7:00pm at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy Garber, Lee Ash, Nancy Zdunic, Donna Ash.
L. Ash moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for May 7, 2012 as printed. Second by Zdunic. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount $22,865.01. Second by Garber. All board members in favor. Motion carried.

Board Reports:
Library- E. Humphrey- Minutes for May on file.
Plan Comm- D. Ash- Master Plan Update review. Discussed the rezoning for Crooked Tree Nursery. Next meeting will be June 21, 2012 note this is a change from June 28.
Roads- L. Ash- Update.
Web Page- Forsythe- Update.
Unfinished Business:
Cemetery Computer Program- Garber moved to purchase the Cemetery Computer Program from Pontem Software at a cost of $1,811.00. Second by Zdunic. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
New Business:
SATA- Forsythe moved to send a letter regarding the mileage of .15 and this will not cover the amount requested for the next year and a request for ridership information. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Ambulance Special Assessment- L. Ash moved have a public hearing for an Ambulance Special Assessment on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 7:00pm for the households south of Garrison Road and 7:30pm for households north of Garrison Road at the Township Hall, the Special Assessment will be for a term of four years at a rate of $45.00 per household for the area south of Garrison Road and $30.00 per household for the area north of Garrison Road. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Sexton Al Root- Needs additional flags for next spring. Would like to place trash cans in the cemetery. Informed the board of a bench that was place within the cemetery without permission . Forsythe moved to send a letter to the owner of the space regarding the rules of bench placement within the cemetery. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by Zdunic. Motion carried.
